My words for you are a fleeting breeze
it is here now and tomorrow it won’t be
you will be replaced like others before me
if you were here and if the world
was an entirely other world
I would run my fingers through your black hair
and spend my life staring into your black eyes
and I would never look away
and I would love and name each of the lines
that time would draw on your face
and I would wash away all your sorrows
with my undying love for all the things I can’t have
and the names on all the things you point at
that I will never see or name
and the things you’ve seen
that I will never see or know
I will never see you
God really made a pretty huge mistake
that I shall remember evermore
they say love is undying
because when you fall out of love
you are no longer you
but someone else
You are a fleeting breeze
In me
and God’s fuck-up hurts more than I could ever imagine
